“Multi-Agency Coordination Takes Centre Stage in Southern Command Abhiyan”
In a significant step toward
#strengthening #national #preparedness, the Indian Army’s Southern Command conducted a wide-ranging
#Military #Civil Fusion
#Abhiyan across multiple
#states, bringing together
#ArmedForces, civil
#administration,
#security #agencies,
#academia, and
#industry under a unified framework.
Spanning key
#regions in
#Maharashtra,
#Gujarat,
#Rajasthan, and
#southern states, the initiative focused on enhancing inter-agency
#coordination, improving
#crisis response, and building a robust “Whole-of-Nation” security approach to tackle evolving and complex
#threats.
A major highlight was a high-level Table Top
#Exercise at Pune, led by Lt Gen Dhiraj Seth, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Southern Command. Senior officials from the
#Government of Maharashtra, Railways, CAPFs, and law enforcement agencies participated to assess multi-domain security challenges in the hinterland.
Several coordinated activities were conducted across locations:
#Pune (Aundh Military Station): Multi-agency drill to validate joint response mechanisms
#Bhopal: Counter-UAS seminar addressing emerging aerial threats
#Babina: Joint patrols and surveillance with police and civil departments
#Chennai: Security conference on internal security and crisis response
#Belagavi,
#Hyderabad,
#Jodhpur &
#Jaisalmer: Strengthened training, coordination, and information sharing
The Abhiyan emphasized collaboration across sectors including
#disaster response agencies, civil
#aviation,
#forest and
#mining authorities, and NCC, promoting shared procedures and integrated planning.
Officials noted that the initiative went beyond coordination—fostering trust, faster decision-making, and seamless information flow among
#stakeholders.
The
#Military Civil Fusion Abhiyan highlights a future-ready model of security where military strength is complemented by civil capabilities, ensuring a coordinated and adaptive response to modern-day challenges.
