His framing bothers me.
The Church is not where "ALL the answers are." Unless the answer is..."for all." 🙄
#weaponization
Case in point?
THESE "churches."
Christians do not put their faith in "The Church," merely ascribed.
They put their faith in the Word throughsingle answer, and certainly not "ALL" of them, can be found in "The Church."
The answers are found through a deeply personal, exploratory relationship with and to Christ through Scripture. Not rote acceptance, exploration.
Just as prayer beads and statues of the Buddha do not bring enlightenment, the church itself holds zero answers.
Faith-based institutions hold no value if the path has been weaponized through distortion, no matter the denomination.
Jesus warns that placing human tradition above the commandment of God places one in imminent danger where institutional church culture supersedes Scripture.
Mark 7:8-9:
"For laying aside the commandment of God, you hold the tradition of men—the washing of pitchers and cups, and many other such things you do.” He said to them, “All too well you reject the commandment of God, that you may keep your tradition."
