Every quarter I meet with retailers, shopping centre managers, security staff and the police for our #RetailCrime Forum to discuss crime trends, new developments and progress to reduce thefts and violence towards staff. This morning I chaired the latest meeting. Alongside the #Disclable free to any retailer in Thames Valley, we are a month into an integration with #Auror, making it easier for retail staff to report directly to the police from the company's own system. We are seeing positive signs with reductions in crimes in many areas, as well as a continued increase in charges for shop theft offences. Over the last 12 months the dedicated retail crime investigation team has grown in size, working alongside neighbourhood policing teams to tackle retail crime. Get in touch if you want to know more about the work that is being done and sign up for the Disc app if you haven't already! 🤳
