At 88, accessing healthcare shouldn’t be a struggle.
For Puthuri Narsaiah, living alone in a village in Telangana after the loss of his wife, it had become exactly that. While his children support him to the extent that they can, distance and age made regular treatment difficult c joint pain and hypertension affected his daily life, with limited access to consistent care.
That changed with HelpAge India's Mobile Healthcare Unit (MHU).
By bringing free, regular healthcare directly to his doorstep, the MHU has ensured continuity of treatment, reduced physical strain, and brought much-needed reassurance.
