#Urban heat is no longer seasonal, it’s structural. As Indian cities face earlier, harsher #heatwaves, the crisis goes beyond #climate into public health & inequality. Cooling must be reimagined at the urban design level: @Tso_mah or-f.org/38083
Rethinking Urban Heat Governance through Water-Sensitive Planning

As Indian cities confront intensifying and earlier heatwaves, integrating ecologically functional urban water bodies into statutory planning is essential for equitable and sustainable heat mitigation

the west pumped CO2 for 200 years to get rich. now they point at china like "why are YOU polluting?" bro you ate the whole cake and got mad someone wanted a crumb. this chart shows who actually caused climate change. #climate #CO2 #data x.com/OurWorldInData…

Which countries have contributed the most to historical CO₂ emissions? When we emit carbon dioxide (CO₂) into the atmosphere, most of it stays there for centuries or millennia. This means that CO₂ emitted even a century ago has contributed to the rising temperatures we see how much the climate warms depends on how much cumulative CO₂ is emitted over time. The chart shows the ten countries with the largest share of the world’s historical emissions, based on cumulative emissions from fossil fuels and industry since 1750. The United States has contributed the most, accounting for almost one quarter. This is followed by China and Russia. (This Daily Data Insight was written by @_HannahRitchie.)
