#Buscor Thomo says he has engaged with Buscor management to assess the extent of the damage and to ensure contingency measures are in place to minimise disruptions to public transport services, especially during the festive season when many commuters rely on Buscor buses for daily travel. He says the department is also awaiting a detailed report from Buscor, including preliminary findings on the cause of the fire, as authorities continue with their investigations. The MEC says the department is closely monitoring the situation. Meanwhile, Police in Barberton have called on members of the public with any information that may assist in their investigations to come forward. RM

Ten buses caught fire at the #Buscor depot in Barberton last night. Mpumalanga MEC for Public Works, Roads and Transport, Thulasizwe Thomo has confirmed that no injuries or fatalities were reported in the incident, and further urged commuters to remain calm. RM
