For every dollar Denmark spends supporting Ukraine, France sends 7 cents, Italy 7 cents. America sends zero.
Denmark has given 3.25% of GDP to Ukraine since 2022, the highest rate in the world, according to the Kiel Institute. And 70% of Danes want to keep going. 66% want to election day, Ukraine barely registers as a campaign issue. Not because people stopped caring because almost everybody agrees.
A reporter walked the streets of Aarhus asking voters. A family lawyer: "I would never vote for anybody who would want to cut the aid for Ukraine." An economics professor: "We have to support the other small countries against these dictators."
Out of 40–50 people, one disagreed. His wife interrupted him: "What about the moral side? We cannot just let the Ukrainians alone with the Russians, can we?"
If all NATO countries had matched Denmark's commitment over four years, total support for Ukraine would have been $2 trillion.
