#sqlhelp Has anyone figured out a way to change the time zone setting on an Azure Managed Instance? I know the documentation says it's not possible, I'm just hoping it's wrong or out of date or maybe someone figured out a hack?

For SQL friends - is TF 8291 needed to enable the associated patch in SQL 2022, or is it on by default and the TF is only needed in 2019 and lower? #sqlhelp

#sqlhelp Howdy! Anyone run two (or more) concurrent DiskSpd tests to simulate a workload? Wonder if there are any special considerations.

Yesterday one of our SQL2019Std instances allocated over 70% of memory to the OBJECTSTORE_LOCK_MANAGER clerk, causing memory grant waits. No excessive locking seemed to be occurring, and we manually had to flush the clerk. 1. Should this clerk not have freed itself? #sqlhelp 1/x

I've got a column with decimal(38,20) as data type. If I multiply the column with 1, I get a "Arithmetic overflow error converting numeric to data type numeric.", also if I use 1.0 or 0. When trying to convert to numeric(20,10), same error. #sqlhelp

Seems like #sqlhelp is dead. :( Where are people going these days for community help for SQL Server?

#sqlhelp I’m trying to change file growth settings for a database in a SQL 2016 Basic Availability Group. Can that be done directly, or do I need to remove it from the AG, make the change and re-add? Is suspending data movement during the change possible? #sqlhelp
