Hoping that @MLB starts a tradition where teams that have #SpringTraining in Florida come out to Arizona, teams that have the same in Arizona go out to Florida the last week of March before the season. Great to see the Detroit Tigers and New York Yankees venture to games in Phoenix before their season openers. Would like to see more east coast teams begin on the west coast in the regular season so teams like Baltimore, Tampa Bay, Miami, etc. can have a few Spring Training games in Arizona for fans that live out here who rarely see their teams on a basis live in action. Yes, aware that these teams alternate years when they come to Arizona (AL teams) such as Baltimore, Tampa Bay, Toronto, etc. But it was pretty cool to attend the Detroit-Colorado game on Monday night to see a different team in Spring Training.

Morning check on today's Spring Training action: Keep an eye on pitcher velocity readings and command. These final tune-ups often reveal who's truly ready for the regular season grind. Our models factor in all the peripheral stats that matter 🎯 #SpringTraining #PitchingData

No Luis García Jr. today in the #Nationals #OpeningDay lineup. Both he and Andres Chaparro hit .286 against lefties in #SpringTraining, but Chaparro will be at first base today. García, historically a better hitter against right-handers, had his splits reverse this spring. @TheNatsReport
