“We have a foreign government dictating our policy in the Middle East, and even when and how we go to war.”
In an interview with Piers Morgan, Former Director of the United States National Counterterrorism Center Joe Kent sharply criticized Washington’s alignment with Israel, oreign policy has been shaped by Israeli pressure rather than independent strategic decisions.
Kent said accusations of antisemitism are repeatedly used to silence debate and distract from what he described as the core issue: U.S. involvement in war driven by Israeli actions and expectations.
According to Kent, American officials anticipated Israeli military escalation against Iran and acted preemptively because “their hand was forced,” and that political and media pressure created an “echo chamber” around decision-makers, reframing policy red lines and promoting the idea that military confrontation would lead to rapid regime collapse.
