#WWE #MattCardona Chelsea Green has shared an update on Matt Cardona following Randy Orton’s recent attack, ahead of this Friday’s SmackDown episode. With Orton brutalizing his WrestleMania 42 opponent, WWE Champion Cody Rhodes, on the March 13 edition of SmackDown, the Viper lowing week’s episode, this time taking out Matt Cardona. After vowing to issue an apology on the March 20 show, Orton ultimately attacked Cardona, ending the beatdown by stomping on a chair wrapped around the former Intercontinental Champion’s arm. While this moment appeared to write Matt Cardona off TV, Chelsea Green has teased that Cardona will “most likely” be on this Friday’s show. Hinting that Orton and Cardona could come face to face once again, Green noted on 93.7 The Fan: “I don’t know what’s going to happen this week, whether he’s coming to Pittsburgh or not. I would assume he will because I know him. “He will most likely be here. Randy obviously will be on SmackDown at PPG Arena. So who knows, will they have a run-in? I don’t know.” The March 27 SmackDown episode will emanate from the PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, PA. With Randy Orton set to challenge for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania, there has been a lot of speculation about whether or not he will win his 15th world title at the April 18-19 event. If he does, he will separate himself as the single star with the third-most recognized world title reigns in WWE – an honor he currently shares with Triple H. Behind Orton, the next active WWE wrestler with the most world title reigns is Brock Lesnar with 10. If anyone will challenge for Cena’s record of 17 world title reigns over the next few years, it will fittingly be Cena’s former rival, Randy Orton.
