Israeli media has admitted that dozens of wounded IOF soldiers were evacuated after a major Hezbollah ambush in southern Lebanon, including a high-ranking officer and a joint unit of paratroopers and combat engineering forces, Yahalom.

■ "After monitoring the movements of an Israeli enemy army force near Baydar al-Faqa'ani in the town of Taybeh as it advanced down towards the Litani River bed in the Baydar al-Nahr area, the Islamic Resistance fighters lured it into a tight fire ambush at 12:30 AM on Saturday 28-03-2026 and targeted it with rocket weaponry, artillery shells, and attack drones. The ambush area turned into a kill zone, resulting in a large number of casualties in the ranks of the enemy, which is currently working to evacuate its dead and wounded under heavy fire and smoke cover, as helicopters are evacuating the casualties in the Baydar al-Faqa'ani area..."
