A professor called a Muslim student a "terrorist" with derogatory remarks.
Dr. Muralidhar Deshpande, a professor, referred to the Muslim student Affan as a "terrorist" at least 13 times during class and repeatedly abused him verbally.
He further stated:
"Iran war happened because of people like you"
"Trump will take you away"
"You are idiots, you will go to hell"
These comments were made in front of about 60 students, creating an extremely hostile and humiliating environment.
In a concerning development, CCTV footage—which could have served as crucial evidence—was allegedly deleted, raising serious questions about accountability and transparency.
Some students who spoke in support of Affan were allegedly suspended, with the official reason given as "talking during class."
Although the professor later wrote an apology letter to the college, he did not directly apologize to Affan. The department head apologized on his behalf and is accused of indirectly pressuring Affan, such as saying "PES has money," "They will buy the media," and "Think about your career."
Affan's family is already facing difficulties, making the situation even more distressing for him. Instead of support, he allegedly faced humiliation, pressure, and isolation.
