#Baseball is back!
#PlayBall ⚾️🧢😎
i know its the mets, but this is the coolest shit i’ve ever seen a human being do 😎🔥🤣🤣🤣
I played youth baseball, my dad was the coach, wow. 👀🤣
Been a fan my whole life.
With the new rules to speed up gameplay I am back iures to speed up gameplay:
• Pitch timer (2023): 15 seconds between pitches with bases empty, 18 seconds with runners on (reduced from 20 in 2024); 30-second timer between batters. Pitcher violation = ball; batter not ready = strike. Reduced average game time by ~24-28 minutes.
• Limits on pitcher disengagements/pickoffs (2023): Two per plate appearance; excess counts as balk.
• Bigger bases (2023): Increased from 15 to 18 inches (aids faster base running).
• Infield shift ban (2023): Defenders must position traditionally (increases action, indirectly speeds pace).
• Mound visit limits: Reduced over time (e.g., to 4 per game in recent years, with exceptions).
• Shorter breaks: Between innings/pitching changes (e.g., 2:15 clock); timers enforced since 2015.
• Other prior tweaks: Batter must keep foot in box; quicker replay; three-batter minimum for pitchers (2020).
These changes cut games from ~3+ hours to ~2:38-2:42 average. 2026 focuses more on ABS challenges than pace.
