Hey everyone, I’ve been reading about this new personality type called an otrovert (coined by Dr. Rami Kaminski), and it finally clicked. I’m one. I’m social, friendly, and can seem outgoing in groups. I make connections easily and enjoy deep one-on-one talks without getting drained like a true introvert. But no matter how welcomed I am, I always feel like an outsider observing from the sidelines. I don’t crave group belonging, team vibes, or tribal loyalty. I stay independent, think my own thoughts, and prefer quality over quantity in relationships. Then I learned otroverts are perpetual outsiders…warm, empathetic, and socially capable, but emotionally detached from groups. It’s not shyness or anxiety, it’s innate otherness. Reading that description felt like someone finally named what I’ve carried forever. Turns out, I’m an otrovert, and realizing it feels like freedom, not a flaw.
