My thoughts on the #Motability changes As my local MP do you fancy a chat about this @BenObeseJecty as I’m struggling to understand how as a wheelchair user who lives in a semi-rural area with barely a bus service - a limit of roughly 27 miles a day is going to keep me in work

🚨 BENEFITS CHEAT MUM, 33, CLAIMS £23K FOR BEING HOUSEBOUND WITH ANXIETY – THEN JETTED TO CANCUN FOR CLUBBING, ZIPLINING & SURFING! Catherine Wieland from East Sussex raked in £23,662 PIP over two years, swearing she couldn’t cook, wash or leave the house alone due to crippling anx. Reality? She was spotted at Thorpe Park THREE times, Chessington, Brighton Pride, quad-biking, cave-exploring, 76 beauty appointments and 60 pub/club nights – plus a luxury Mexico holiday with her son! DWP surveillance and her own social media posts nailed her. Hove Crown Court heard she even bagged a Motability BMW. Judge slammed: “Pure and simple fraud… aggravated by pubbing, clubbing and Cancun.” 28-week suspended sentence + full £23k repayment ordered. Classic!

#RachelReeves clearly detests the #disabled, she is attacking from every angle, she's added VAT to #Motability cars and insurance, as a result the mileage allowed has been halved, the AP has gone up massively on all but city cars which in the main are unsuitable. #bbcqt

So, 30,000 miles will be allowed over a 3 year lease and 50,000 over a 5 year lease (WAVs) *Excess mileage fees. They will be increasing the excess mileage fee to 25p per mile. It’s currently 5p per mile *Tyre replacement You will be allowed to replace up to six tyres over a three year lease. Which will include up to four for damage. If you have a five year lease you can replace up to 10 tyres with six included for damage * EU breakdown cover. You’ll need to pay an admin fee and let the RAC know when you take your car abroad
