Remember #mufc forward Charlie Sagar, born today in 1878. Charlie joined from Bury in 1905, scoring a hatrick on his debut. He scored 24 goals in 33 games but then picked up a knee injury, & so left in 1907 for Atherton. Charlie Sagar sadly died in 1919 aged just 41. RIP.

Remember George 'Willie' Gladwin, former #mufc halfback born today in 1907. Willie joined from DRFC in 1937, feeling the lows relegation & highs of promotion. WWII prematurely ended his career after 28 games & 1 goal. George was injured during it & never played again. RIP hero.

Former left back, Frank Kopel, was born today in 1949 in Falkirk, Scotland. Frank was in #MUFC's youth academy from 1964-66. After turning pro, he'd played 12 games over 3 years, moving to Blackburn in 1969. He sadly succumbed to vascular dementia in April 2014, aged 65, RIP
