According to bank statements from the Russian production company that produces programs for Kremlin propaganda's "First Channel", former Austrian Foreign Minister Karine Kneissl, who moved to Russia, earned over 1.2 million rubles in a few months by regularly promoting Kremlin narratives on Russian state television. In addition to fees for television appearances, Kneissl also heads a research center at St. Petersburg University, funded by the Russian state. Over nearly 2.5 years of work, she received over 22 million rubles. Other foreign speakers and pro-Russian bloggers also appear in propaganda programs. Some of them receive tens of thousands of rubles for comments, and others - millions for regular participation in programs that promote narratives about the "decline of the West" and the "justness of the Russian war". This is according to an investigative piece by "Novaya Gazeta".
