A WWE NXT star says they’re ready for a main roster move, addressing the possibility of being called up without winning their division’s top title.
Kelani Jordan has had some notable championship reigns in NXT, becoming the inaugural Women’s North ne 2024, and winning the TNA Knockouts World Championship in a crossover appearance in September 2025.
Despite not yet holding the NXT Women’s Championship, Kelani Jordan stated in an interview with Busted Open, that she feels prepared for a move to the main roster.
Hopeful for the opportunity to wrestle more experienced stars, Jordan said:
“I would love to go to the main roster, I would love to be able to be on a bigger platform, but also be able to wrestle girls who are on that next level.
“I would love that, Raw, SmackDown, I’m ready. Of course, if the NXT Women’s Championship is in my future, that’s great, but if the main roster is next, I have my eyes on the US Championship, the Intercontinental (Championship).”
When asked if she feels that an NXT Women’s Championship win is needed for her to properly move up the ladder, Kelani Jordan responded:
“I think you can jump over that championship, because we’ve seen girls do it before.
“Becky was in NXT, she didn’t win the championship, actually when she came back is when she got the championship.
“There’s also other superstars, like greats, who never won the NXT Women’s Championship, and they’re prospering and thriving on the main roster.”
With Kelani Jordan holding gold in two separate companies during her NXT tenure, it’s fair to say that WWE has a lot of trust and faith in the star.
Jordan’s partner, WWE US Champion Carmelo Hayes, currently wrestles for SmackDown, so it would make sense for Kelani Jordan to join the blue brand if a call-up is in her imminent future.
