India plans to purchase additional long-range S-400 anti-aircraft missile systems from Russia.
The Defence Acquisition Council today approved several proposals totaling 2.38 trillion rupees, equivalent to approximately 25 billion dollars. These include:
For the Indian Air Force, for the purchase of medium transport aircraft, the long-range S-400 anti-aircraft missile system, attack drones, and the overhaul of the Su-30 fighter jet's power units. The introduction of medium transport aircraft to replace the An-32 and Il-76 transport aircraft fleet will meet the strategic, tactical, and operational air transport needs.
