This evening, I had the honor of presiding over the Western Uganda Regional @UgandaFilm in Hoima City. I commended @UCC_Official for selecting Hoima as the host of the Western Region RFC, noting that this reflects strong confidence in the city’s growing potential.
I emphasized le in promoting local content, nurturing creative talent, and accelerating the growth of Uganda’s creative industry. I also encouraged filmmakers to prioritize high-quality storytelling and transform their passion into sustainable livelihoods.
Additionally, I highlighted the broader importance of developing Uganda’s film industry, including its power to create employment opportunities, preserve and promote our cultural heritage, attract tourism, stimulate investment, and position Uganda on the global creative stage.
