It has been 38 days since the enforced disappearance of Hayat Bibi, daughter of Ahmed and wife of Fazal Karim, who was reportedlcurity forces on February 18, 2026, from the Gazgi area of Khuzdar. Her whereabouts remain unknown.
According to local sources, Hayat Bibi was forcibly taken during a security operation without any legal warrant or due process. Since then, her family has received no information regarding her condition or location. The silence of the authorities has deepened the suffering of her loved ones, who continue to seek answers.
PAANK emphasizes that enforced disappearance is a grave violation of international human rights law, including the rights to liberty, security, and protection from arbitrary detention. The targeting of women in such operations represents an escalation that
raises serious humanitarian concerns.
