في محاولة واضحة لصرف الانتباه عما يجري في تيجراي، والسيطرة على المشهد السياسي المتأزم ،سيفتتح رئيس الوزراء الإثيوبي أبي أحمد خلال ساعات في جيجيجا عاصمة إقليم الصومال الإثيوبي، مركز السياحة شابيلي ضمن مبادرة لتطوير السياحة والاقتصاد في المنطقة، في وقت يشهد فيه شمال البلاد طر منذ اتفاق بريتوريا للسلام.. عبر ظهوره يسعى أبي أحمد في جيجيجا محاطًا بمشاريع سياحية وطاقة رياح ،وربما بحضور الرئيس الصومالي حسن شيخ محمود ورئيس جيبوتي إسماعيل عمر جيله، ليرسل رسالة بأن "إثيوبيا مستقرة وتتقدم في الشرق والجنوب"، بينما الشمال التيجراي وأمهرا على حافة الانفجار. وتحضيرا للاحتفالية زار رئيسا جهازى المخابرات الكيني و الإثيوبي، مدينة 'غودي حيث استقبلهم رئيس الإقليم الصومالي. هذه محاولة مكشوفة للسيطرة على السرد ،بعدما اندلعت اشتباكات جديدة في منطقة تسلمتی، قرب ماي ديغوشا بغرب تيجراي بين قوات الجيش الاثيوبي وميليشيات أمهرا من جهة، وقوات التيجراي من جهة أخرى. وفي مؤشر واضح على خطورة الوضع الأمني، أعلنت الخطوط الجوية الإثيوبية إلغاء جميع رحلاتها إلى إقليم تيجراي حتى إشعار آخر، مما أدى إلى عزل الإقليم جوياً مما أثار مخاوف دولية واسعة من انهيار اتفاق السلام الموقع في عام 2022، وسط دعوات عاجلة من الاتحاد الأفريقي لجميع الأطراف بضبط النفس والعودة إلى طاولة الحوار. وهكذا يسعى آبي أحمد يسعى من خلال ظهوره في جيجيجا محاطاً بالمشاريع السياحية والقادة الإقليميين إلى تصدير صورة إثيوبيا المستقرة، وصرف الأنظار عن الجبهات المشتعلة في تيجراي وأمهرا التي باتت على حافة الانفجار الكامل، في استراتيجية تستهدف فقط مجرد كسب الوقت وتجميل الموقف أمام المجتمع الدولي.
