Promoting a Culture of Safety First 🚧 #DFCCIL Noida Unit successfully organised the WDFC Safety Awareness Workshop–2026 at New Dadri, in the presence of Shri Praveen Kumar, MD/DFCCIL, bringing teams together to reinforce best practices across operations and maintenance. The workshop was also attended by Shri Pawan Kumar Rai, Director/PP; Shri Manish Awasthy, ED/Infra; Shri Ran Vijay Singh, GGM/Electrical; Shri Amit Sengar, GGM/Electrical; Shri Vikas Srivastava, GGM/S&T; Shri Anurag Yadav, CGM/Noida, and Shri Gaurav Sharma, GM/Safety, along with other officials. This initiative focused on hands-on, site-based learning, enabling teams to strengthen operational and maintenance practices using real equipment. Experts and executives from all WDFC units participated to ensure knowledge sharing across the corridor. 🔍 Key Focus Areas: • Advanced AT Welding with air quenching • Proliferation of measuring trolley & clip applicator usage • USFD machine calibration & sensitivity checks • Wheel defect measurement techniques • Section insulator maintenance • Cable detection using cable locator • OFC fibre jointing practices • Emergency medical response (CPR, electric shock) • Fire safety demonstrations • Safe securing & stabling of rakes 💡 Innovation at Noida Unit: Driven by a culture of continuous improvement, the Noida unit has implemented several practical innovations: ✔️ 100% replacement of hammers with clip applicators (first across DFC & Indian Railways) ✔️ Use of high-strength plastic sheets for rain cut protection ✔️ Sand application on bridges for ballast stabilization ✔️ Fibre cloth handling of hot rails—reducing block time from 8 hrs to 4 hrs This workshop reinforces DFCCIL’s commitment to safety excellence, innovation, and knowledge sharing across WDFC. #DFCCIL #SafetyFirst #RailwaySafety #WDFC #Innovation #OperationalExcellence #NewDadri #Infrastructure #Leadership #Teamwork

Celebrating Women Driving India’s Freight Infrastructure #DFCCIL celebrated #InternationalWomensDay 2026 with its women employees at the Corporate Office, with Ms. Jaya Varma Sinha, Information Commissioner and former CRB & CEO, as the Chief Guest. She holds the distinction of being the first woman to lead the Railway Board in its 118-year history, inspiring generations of women across the railway and infrastructure sectors. Welcoming the Chief Guest and extending his wishes to all women employees, Sh. Praveen Kumar, MD/DFCCIL, highlighted the growing role of women across the organization. Today, more women engineers are leading Track, TRD and S&T projects, as well as contributing to asset maintenance across the Western and Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridors. He also shared that DFCCIL’s Operation Control Centres—the nerve centres of corridor operations—are increasingly staffed by women professionals who manage heavy-haul train movements with exceptional precision and expertise.
