ANOTHER ONE!
Legacy boys continue their fine run of form in the first round of the endeavour cup, against a really strong Gatcliffe side. The game was really intense from the off with both teams trying to create opportunities but both defences playing a solid role. The legacy ntrol as the game progressed but found themselves trailing 1-0 through an outstanding free kick by the Gatcliffe no10, late in the first half Ronnie Challis continued his fine run of form by converting a free kick of his own to level the score. In the second half, we established ourselves even more and dominated, Charlie Saltmarsh got on the end of a long pass by GK Mitch to score a header making the score 2-1 for the legacy boys. A mistake by LB Nikola Ivanova led the Gatcliffe no12 to score a great goal in the bottom corner. The game finished 2-2 and Mitchell Lucas once again was the hero for the boys in black and yellow by saving 2 fantastic penalties, unfortunately for the boys, Brandon Pointer was the only one not to convert from the spot, but ultimately we came victorious. Big up to Gatcliffe for the great 90 mins being by far the best team we have faced all season. We look forward to the next round of the Endeavour cup. @EssexCorinthian @SundayShoutsFC
