If you’re one of these people who thinks it’s okay to freely use the word “r€tard”, you obviously don’t possess the education or intellect that god gave dirt. You’re absolutely disgusting and vile! #MAGA #GOP #conservatives #trash #christians

Wise, considered words. Rich shows that you don't need to rage like Rupert Lowe or hustle like Farage in order to accept the problem and urge smart people to find solutions. It's not racist to try. The #Conservatives need these voices. It will bring back the true support

Have people lost sight of our nations? Of what our forefathers fought for? Are we disrespecting and stomping on the memories and graves of all those who came before us, who founded our countries, who developed the dreams of freedom and democracy, who gave their blood, sweat and tears - and often their lives - so that we could have the types of countries and lives that we have? Do we forget where our ancestors came from? The trials and tribulations, the wars, the oppressive times, the slavery and the violence? Have we got so comfortable that we take it for granted? Or, so “woke”, that we don’t think we should have it? What happened to the dreams and aspirations of our ancestors? They wrote about them in our national anthems. America’s anthem talks about the land of the free and the home of the brave. Canada’s is the true north strong and free. The UK’s talks about their king, wishing him victory over their enemies. France’s is about coming together, fighting tyranny, fighting for their country. Australia’s refers to being young and free. Are these just words to people now? Are the citizens of Western nations so far removed from the birth of their countries that they aren’t aware of their genesis? Is that the reason so many seem to be so ok with our countries being conquered? With our democracies and freedoms being taken from us? When you’re at an event and your anthem is played, when you stand up and remove your hat, what do you feel? Do you have a sense of pride? Is there a warmth that fills your heart as you hear the words of your country’s anthem and see its flag being displayed? Or are you just a visitor in the country you live in, and your heart is with the country you came from? Is that how we’re being conquered? Are our countries filled with visitors, who simply do not care? Who have no stake? Or are people just too disconnected? Too self-absorbed? Too selfish? Whatever the reason - or reasons - may be, many of our countries have lost a sense of patriotism. And until and unless we find it, we are ripe to be conquered.

. interviewed by the podcaster @ezraklein, Christopher #Caldwell @nytimes demonstrates what it means to be an intellectual heavyweight; this is for certain one of the most significant videos I've watched so far this year; brave of Ezra for beginning to interview #Conservatives who deserve to be taken seriously in the intellectual mainstream, broadly defined; 🧠💻🇺🇸
