There is a myth that ME/CFS is not deadly.
But it is.
Patients describe a “living death” in which their life is reduced to a room.
They die from abuse in hospitals withholding treatments for loss of autonomic functioning, including feeding.
They end their lives because of symptom burden and isolation.
That is a certain kind of death.
How is research into this condition not better funded?
