あなたがたの主の御赦しを得るため，競いなさい。天と地程の広い楽園に（入るために）。それは主を畏れる者のために，準備されている。 順境においてもまた逆境にあっても，（主の贈物を施しに）使う者，怒りを押えて人びとを寛容する者，本当にアッラーは，善い行いをなす者を愛でられる。 また醜悪な行いをしたり，過失を犯した時，アッラーを念してその罪過の御赦しを請い，「アッラーの外に，誰が罪を赦すことが出来ましょう。」（と祈る者），またその犯したことを，故意に繰り返さない者。 これらの者への報奨は，主からの寛大な御赦しと，川が下を流れる楽園であり，かれらはその中に永遠に住むであろう。奮闘努力する者への恩恵は何とよいことであろう。 あなたがた以前にも多くの摂理の例があった，あなたがたは地上を旅して，真理を嘘という者の最後がどうであったかを見なさい。 これは人びとに対する説き明かしであり，また主を畏れる者への導きであり，訓戒である。 (コーラン3:133-138) And hasten to forgiveness from your Lord and a garden [i.e., Paradise] as wide as the heavens and earth, prepared for the righteous Who spend [in the cause of Allāh] during ease and hardship and who restrain anger and who pardon the people - and Allāh loves the doers of good; And those who, when they commit an immorality or wrong themselves [by transgression], remember Allāh and seek forgiveness for their sins - and who can forgive sins except Allāh? - and [who] do not persist in what they have done while they know. Those - their reward is forgiveness from their Lord and gardens beneath which rivers flow [in Paradise], wherein they will abide eternally; and excellent is the reward of the [righteous] workers. Similar situations [as yours] have passed on before you, so proceed throughout the earth and observe how was the end of those who denied. This [Qur’ān] is a clear statement to [all] the people and a guidance and instruction for those conscious of Allāh. (Quran 3:133-138)
