@TodayJays I think most hitters are not gonna challenge any at all as it can be hard to know if it was a strike or a ball when your trying to hit. Personally I would only challenge if it was so bad that I would have normally told of the ump for being blind

@kcampbellenjoyr @JustBB_Media No argument there. They need to be graded and let’s say at the All-Star you’re at a certain number, you’re sent to the minors and a triple A ump is brought up. Hold them accountable. I get missing close pitches but these misses on both teams were atrocious.

Like people genuinely have an over the top vitriol towards umps, it’s okay to call a strike on a pitch .3 inches it of the zone and it’s good that now it can be overturned but you don’t need to act like the ump is Hitler for the call lmao

If an ump comes into a game with a certain percentage of overturned calls, then both teams should be provided with an extra challenge

Lost it on the little things. Lost challenges early hurt the Sox in bigger spots later. An error led to an extra Reds run in the 2nd. Ump didn’t help. Great fight to tie it but ended up using Chap/Whit/Slate. Gotta score in extras, gotta win the margins.
