Unfortunately most studios (not all obviously) only care about how much money they'll make, and when people who play the game and ACTUALLY want to support it no longer can, the studios decline without the support.

The unfortunate problem is some studios nowadays either appeal to only one demographic or if a studio appeals to others about 70% of the time there is no care or effort put in its just "we're appealing to you, now pay up".
