Narmadapuram, Madhya Pradesh: In the bustling market of Sohagpur on Monday Hamza Khan, along with his accomplices Rizwan and Zahid, abducted a 16-year-old girl from the street in a red Swift car.
The accused dragged the girl—who was walking through the market—into a car and t to throw the police off their trail, the accused switched cars in Makhan Nagar.
From there, they fled with the girl in a white Hyundai Creta. However, the girl's brave brother refused to give up; he pursued the car and immediately informed his family members of the vehicle's registration number.
He also alerted the authorities via the 'Dial 112' emergency service.
To mislead the police, the accused drove the red Swift towards Baktara, while taking the Creta back to the Forest Colony in Sohagpur, where they planned to go into hiding.
Meanwhile, the police intercepted the car heading towards Baktara. Upon finding that the girl was not inside, the police began interrogating the driver.
Under strict questioning, the driver divulged details regarding the accused who had fled in the Creta.
Acting on this information, the police team apprehended the prime accused—Hamza Khan along with Rizwan, Salman, Zahid and Sanjeev Meena. Both vehicles involved in the incident have also been seized.
The police rescued the girl with in four hours.
