Day 4 of the Dandi Path Walk emerged as one of the most demanding and emotionally enriching phases of the historic journey, as ten committed walkers undertook a challenging 43-kilometre march from Anand to Kanakapura, starting at 6:30 a.m. and concluding at 5:30 p.m. under a
#cold #winter #sky.
It was a rare day that witnessed both sunrise and sunset on the road, symbolising a complete cycle of discipline, resilience, and purpose. The walkers moved with quiet resolve, turning each step into an act of reflection and
#national remembrance.
A brief halt for breakfast outside a public health centre offered an unexpected insight into efficient public service, where cleanliness and smooth functioning reflected the strength of well-run systems supporting everyday dignity.
A significant highlight was the visit to Hanifa School, Borsad, which serves underprivileged children with exemplary discipline and clarity of mission. An interactive session between the walkers and students revealed curiosity, confidence, and attentiveness reinforcing the walk’s deeper aim of connecting generations and inspiring young minds.
The arrival at Kanakapura was marked by an emotionally moving reception. A group of young girls welcomed the walkers with a heartfelt song, “Swagat hai mehman aapka,” creating a moment of warmth that transcended formality. The joy of children sharing simple refreshments added to the sense of community and shared celebration.
The day concluded at Yatri Nivas, Kanakapura, overlooking a tranquil lake near the

#sun dipped into golden calm. With nearly 56,000 steps completed, Day 4 stood out not merely for distance covered, but for the enduring spirit of endurance, service, and national connection embodied by the walkers.
A walk of feet, a journey of conscience.
