Had this discussion with my people yesterday. 42 bags is 1800 bricks, they charge N$50 per bag ku tholoma (where I’m from) kwatelako ofuel (varies) to get water and a truck for the sand (N$1400-ish) you’re at almost N$9-12k.
While 2000 bricks cost 9k (N$4.50)
no Difference.
500 bricks cost about N$2,600.
To make bricks:
•10 bags of cement (42.5) = N$1,100
•Labour at N$45–50 per bag = about N$500
•Water = N$50–80
•Sand is free
So making 550 bricks costs roughly N$1,800, compared to N$2,600 if you buy them.

@KHayhoe The pioneer here is Michael Tobis, whose first climate blog was literally called "Only In It For the Gold." (ironic reference to the accusations) At the time, the fossil ofuel companies were pouring out money like water. Arguably, so much so the denialists drowned each other out.
