Phoenix is pleased to share an update from Fortuna Metals (ASX: $FUN) CEO, Tom Langley, on the latest progress at the Mkanda Rutile Project in Malawi, located immediately south of Sovereign Metals’ world-class Kasiya deposit. Recent drilling continues to confirm large coherent zones of high-grade rutile mineralisationile mineralisation, with zones extending up to ~2km × 4km. Based on results to date, the Company is targeting an exploration target of ~200–300Mt from surface to ~10m depth. An exploration target is expected shortly, with a maiden inferred resource targeted for September–October this year and an indicated resource planned for April–May next year, supported by tighter infill drilling beginning in May. Bulk samples are also undergoing metallurgical test work targeting ~95%+ rutile concentrate, which will support engagement with potential offtake partners later this year. @Fortuna_ASX
