@AANCollect @hro Well in my 6 years on top shot, I’ve never had a moment stolen from me, never had any lost in the mail, never even had to pay or wait for shipping, never bought one with a misleading title, never lost anything out of my digital wallet. I guess only time will tell the outcome.

@AANCollect @hro The Silver post was to answer your question about why digital collectors always compare to physical… which you said was just rage bait. You’re right though, there are lots of risks surrounding NFTs and they shouldn’t be ignored. Do trading cards not have any risk?

Fact: I’ve lost way more money in digital collectibles, than a lifetime of physical. Fact: 1000s of collectors were never transferred their @hro NFTs as promised. And lost 100% their collection and money invested. Fact: it is harder to sell a digital collectible than it is to sell a physical collectible. Fact: you don’t own digital collectibles if they can’t be moved to a digital wallet. If they only can be traded in that platform, when it dies your collectibles go with it. I still collect both. But know these pumpers try their hardest to not tell the whole story. They make it seem like it’s a collectors dream. I collect digital with utility. IMO that’s where the value will be in the end.

@I think that@'s where the education can be helpful. Those topics can get in the weeds so I typically direct those posts toward people already in digital. But something directed towards what new collectors should look for in a digital product before buying is a great idea. Bad behavior in digital does get called out, but that often that stays in discords rather than ending up on X. And to your earlier point, you miss out a lot on the digital-focused conversations on X because discord is a more common platform for those.
