MAID (Medical Assistance in Death) is a better way to die than most people have ever died in history. We should all be so lucky to have the opportunity to end our own suffering (of a horrific condition). Why do we have more compassion for animals that are suffering than people in death? I think because it’s acknowledging the inevitably of something we all will experience eventually and most people are terrified that there may come a point in their life where medical science and technology can do nothing more for them and so they must spend the rest of their days alive in pain and agony, suffering and so rather than accept that reality they hold on to the belief that a miracle can happen and some breakthrough invention created tomorrow will be able to save their currently dying body and suffering mind…
