Lagos Businesswoman Reportedly R@ped Following a Fra¥dulent N140k Modelling Job Offer.
A Lagos-based content creator and thrift vendor, Fems Thrift, has alleged that she and a friend were s+xually a§§aulted after being deceived into attending a f@ke modelling job in Ajao Estate, eo shared on her TikTok page, Fems said the incident occurred on Friday, February 8. She explained that a man contacted her on Instagram, claiming to have recently returned from the United Kingdom to establish an international fashion brand in Nigeria. He offered her N140,000 for the modelling assignment and requested she promote the brand on her social media platforms.
Initial contact was made on February 1, and she agreed after being assured a full production team, including a make-up artist, would be present. Fems said her friend accompanied her for safety. “My friend was already with me, so she accompanied me for safety,” she said.
According to her account, they arrived around 11 a.m. but found the apartment largely empty. The man reportedly said the make-up artist had stepped out and asked her to take a shower for filming, providing a robe. After she complied, he entered the room under the pretext of showing her how to lock the door, then allegedly locked it and thr£atened them, forcing compliance.
Fems further claimed their mobile phones were seized and they were compelled to unlock private folders, with personal files allegedly transferred to the suspect. She said, “He thr£atened me with my internet presence, saying if I spoke up, he would release my private videos now and in the future.”
The victims reportedly left between 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. The video has sparked widespread reactions online, with calls for the suspect’s immediate arrest and for law enforcement to investigate.
