I'd say as well that most western nations afforded themselves impunity from colonialism to imperialism, their current participation in genocide and war crimes in Western Asia are an extension of that.

So ironic that a woman would say this, because in the 1950s she’d be paid far less than a man for the same job, would have to resign when married, could be beaten by her husband with impunity and couldn’t open a bank account or get a mortgage without a signature from her husband.
