@EricLDaugh "This is one of the most brazen acts in congressional history"
I imagine that Scott is going to be saying that a lot in the not too distant future.
1) Yes, I showed Sola Scriptura is biblical.
I cited 2 Timothy 3:16-17 (Scripture thoroughly equips the man of God for every good work) and Acts 17:11 (the Bereans were praised for testing apostolic teaching against Scripture alone).
That’s the core of Sola Scriptura: Scripture is the final and sufficient authority. You don’t get to demand an exact three-word phrase while defending doctrines that have zero verses.
2) This is not the own you think it is. The early church had variation and debate. Many fathers (including Jerome) rejected or downplayed the deuterocanonicals. The rigid “Scripture + Magisterium + Tradition as three equal pillars” system you defend was not the universal practice either. The apostles pointed people back to what was written.
3) No, I don’t follow Irenaeus 3.3.2 the way you want.
Irenaeus was arguing against Gnostics by pointing to the apostolic succession in Rome as a reliable guard of the faith at that time. He was not declaring the Bishop of Rome infallible for all time or giving the Roman Church supreme universal jurisdiction. He certainly wasn’t endorsing the later medieval package of transubstantiation, mandatory private confession, indulgences, or papal infallibility.

@Benedic26361457 @JamesDitto12 @Rblv73 @GlawkJesus Peter speaks in Acts 15, but James gives the final judgment (“I judge”). And citing Ambrose 300 years later doesn’t make the papacy biblical.
Peter speaks. James rules. Not a pope.
Matthew 18:18 even Catholic scholars agree that the authority was plural.

@laurlin24 I follow him literally just so i can call him racist bc he’s racist all the time and acts like he’s not
The problem is, this might have worked for mud huts, but the mixture contained water (which we know fungi love) and blood (also acts as a nutrient), so the ritual is not only useless but actively counterproductive.

@marklevinshow 🤯How is it possible that @marklevinshow insults a woman in the most disgusting way without any fear for consequences?
Levin is ugly! he acts & looks like he was made in a lab by evil people. Who does he think he is?

If the people were stronger such acts would not happen to them
This is how this world functions
Ballsy, especially from a raging alcoholic with a tendency to enslave others and turn abusive for no reason.
I’m a lovely disappointment ~

@hmichellerose @uanbtc @SanJuanBitdevs @flaming_hodl @LiliH65289916 Since the former is much less harmful to node operators than the latter, and since the former is not possible to completely counter anyway, BIP-110 thus acts on the latter, not the former.

@nazzobetweeting As a principled leftist, I believe that you should publicly disclose all acts of resistance you've committed and every time you've broken the law doing so, purely to satisfy me, a random person on the internet, and also @FBI @DHSgov @ICEgov
Trust me, I'm absolutely on your side

@WilliamWolfe Incredible article. At 70 years old, I lived through this downward spiral. A very sad outcome is the closure of many of the small town churches that had regular attendances of 100 but taught generations until the push for growth and dangling of circus acts led to the closures.
