@PitchingNinja This is ridiculous, the last one I’ll give him even tho it’s still a close call. But those first 2 you can not blame the ump at all. This is so dumb

@MichaelSta74381 @KFCBarstool In theory that would work but then it would slow the game down with guys challenging and the ump being like that wasn't far off of enough to challenge after watching the ABS. That would be the issue I would see doing it that way.

@scottlincicome Does anyone wonder how many times the players make mistakes and the ump is actually the one making the correct call? I see a lot of bitching my players, too....and they're wrong....a. lot, too.

@JesseRogersESPN It’s just gonna take time for everyone to get used to, their whole lives they play where the ump has authority, I’d say give it a month or 2

@thechek182 @ReggieChatman No reason they can’t just have a light in CF and behind HP that light green if strike and red if ball. Leave the ump there for safe and out calls at the plate. Even foul ball calls can be robo-umped now.

@KeganReneau @ReallyDanWeiner I get that part of the game is “figuring out” what the umps strike zone is and then making adjustments…but when the ump can’t even figure out their own strike zone and it’s inconsistent 🤷🏻‍♂️

Salvy teaching Doug Eddings the bottom of the strike zone. Over and Over and Over again. But Eddings refuses to learn. 😂i

@pauliesketty @kbo_coyote @KFCBarstool No it isn’t. The same pitch could get called a strike or a ball depending on the ump. Don’t be disingenuous. There’s unps with a “low zone” or a “tight zone” and that’s what gets eliminated by ABS. Or at least moves to eliminate it.

@KeganReneau @ReallyDanWeiner Can we just get the Trackman instead of the umps to call balls and strikes so the game is decided by the players and coaches? The ump can still stand there, but the Trackman signals to the ump if it’s a ball or strike and then he/she calls it… not hard

@BrendanKutyNJ @Ken_Rosenthal I understand it’s the 21st century but IMHO baseball is a game that’s played by people, for the people and should officiated by people. Each ump has their own unique strike zone that is still over 90% accurate. Learning that zone is a very human part of the game.

@CodifyBaseball Serious question: If baseball has ABS running all the time, on every pitch, and it’s deemed the final authority on calls…why is there an ump still behind home plate calling balls and strikes?
