An amazing guy and player, whose first reaction when I told him that I'll likely play a replacement qualifier for HIS spot, was: "Do you need help to prepare?". With that said, I'm naturally happy to get to experience what will likely be the biggest AoE2 event ever, to see everyone again, and meet thousands(!) of AoE2 fans!

@macdonaldncode They may be able to fix it. Signal Hound also has a 2.4KHz RBW limit in real time mode. But 30/60KHz is too much!

@MehdiHacks Oh, dear. Those RBW limits are quite restrictive. Datasheet marketing vs reality again. Hoping the phase noise tests tell a better story.

@membtv la verdad es que ya no es cosa solo de la visa, los del rbw podrían hacer algo para permitirle jugar desde casa. Y todo esto mientras los estadounidenses no tienen ningún tipo de problema por ir, tócate los cojones.

There are a few quirks or bugs that I need to report to them. I will publish them after reporting. Maybe they can fix them quickly or maybe I'm doing something wrong. I find some of the UI elements names confusing. Biggest initial finding for me was that RBW can't be set below 30KHz in 50MHz real time mode (or below 60KHz in 100MHz mode) Datasheet mention 1THz/s sweep speed, but it's only when RBW is above 250KHz! Setting the RBW to small numbers make the sweep slow (which is normal) In general the software has fewer features compared to Signal Hound Spike but it's understandable, as Signal Hound have been much longer in this industry. In the next thread I will test the amplitude accuracy and also phase noise measurement.
