@The EC wouldn't discuss this kind of data with a member of the general public. They certainly wouldn't mention "unusual" levels of membership or speculate on anything to do with membership. Membership details are considered personal data and protected under GDPR. So the EC would tread very lielating to that, even if it's discussing specific segments of membership. On top of that it's not even data that the EC would hold. Political parties are NOT required to submit membership lists and details of members to the EC. That isn't a thing 🤦🏼‍♂️ Most importantly of all the EC has to follow strict rules regarding neutrality. There isn't a chance that they would comment on particular party demographics. What the EC would do is simply tell you that they don't hold that data and tell you to contact the party in question directly. They wouldn't start up a conversation like you're chums 😂
