@tryhard_joe A professional military doing recon by fire against insurgents is very different than the moronic claim you’ve made. Maybe you’re just not bright enough to understand context and how not all CQB is the same, but this isn’t helping you.

@DanOvercast I got paid to do CQB training for my job many times. The best instructor I had’s first words to us were “If you ever have to use this, it fucking sucks, and you will likely get shot. The goal here is to teach you how to best reduce that chance”

@tryhard_joe I did not realize you were referring to just regular folks taking CQB-oriented classes. I thought you meant CQB training in general, as in, the people that get paid to do CQB. We’re actually in agreement. Carry on. 😎

@DanOvercast Active shooter is completely different than a civilian CQB fantasy class. If you’re a civilian responding to an active shooter by going room to room with a gun you’re going to get shot be police responding to that active shooter.

@CQB classes forcivilians should teach the boring truth of what you SHOULD do if there’s an intruder in your house. Get everyone in one room and keep a gun pointed at the door. IR setup is cool, but the reality is in all these classes they will preach “Action vs reaction” and try to convince you that you busting into a room to clear 4 corners will somehow be faster than the dude sitting in the last corner with a gun pointed at your door shooting when he hears you walk up…

@syskusa A civilian taking a white light/CQB class is not training to clear a brick building. Often these “training” areas have couches/kitchen/room setups because they KNOW their audience is dreaming of clearing their house at night.

@Scorpionchild98 I was going through NG2, which is what prompted me to actually post about it. I agree a CQB gun gu type would be great. But as people stated, DOA doesn't have weapons. Yes she is weak, but a CIA agent, who maybe uses Krav Maga, would be a good counter to Helena or Christie.

@GNGWarzone I got so many wins on this map. So many streamers always hated this map cuz it was more about long range than CQB but I absolutely loved it. Would be so cool to have this in a rotation

If she comes in, she’s gonna be something CQB but without weapons. She’s pretty weak though cause well… see NG2😮‍💨

How would you feel about a Gunslinger type character in Dead or Alive? Such as Irene Lew/Sonia.

This needs to end. People getting shot through walls is rare. This type of flawed logic is used by Dynamic advocates. “Bullets go through walls, so just enter the room and be face to face with the threat!”. An IQ higher than 80 should be required when arguing CQB tactics.
Joe Joe @tryhard_joe ·
I feel like I don’t say this enough but CQB and white light training classes are a scam and will get you killed. Walls are concealment, not cover. The second you make a sound or shine a light down a hallway you’re getting shot through the wall.
