Apparently no polluter pay for Cons. Happy to use our common atmosphere as a convenient free toilet for combustion wastes regardless of the consequences leaving others to clean up the mess.

Carney’s federal industrial carbon tax, which the U.S doesn’t have, will KILL 50,000 Canadian jobs and cost the average Canadian worker $1,160 in lost annual income. Conservatives will continue to fight to scrap the federal industrial carbon tax, for good, to bring down prices

@creepydotorg This guy didn't value his life. He needed to use his common sense and clearly he left that at home. Whatever he was trying to achieve, was clearly unworthy. As such, he deserved what he got. We need to set a good example and clearly this is a good example of not acting stupid.

Thousands filling Boston Common right now for the third 'No Kings' protest against the Trump administration. Organizers expected over 100,000 in Boston alone as part of thousands of events across the US. Focus: opposition to executive power, immigration enforcement, and ongoing #NoKings

@Yes! Weh@ave rode many cycles in many countries just following common sense. Been through 6 Presidents in Argentina. Seen a lot. Many have the all is great mentality until things break. My office in Recoleta was in the same building as Ex President de La Rua. We had coffee a few times a year. He told me “they love you until they hate you”. He called it right. That has been the same for every President since him. I saw an old lady on the street spitting in his face.

Looks exactly like the Anti-Iraq War protests 25 years ago… America went to war anyway and still occupies Iraq, as well as Syria, and Palestine - bombing and occupying Lebanon as well as bombing Iran ⭕️ The common denominator in all these genocides and bombings is America🇺🇸

Massive turnout of over 1 million people in London to protest the US’s war against Iran and Israel’s genocidal occupation of Palestine and South Lebanon. This is what solidarity looks like!

This is true. I don't understand the predictions that AI art will be valued less than real art because, on a societal level, we already don't value human-made art. We want it made as cheaply and quickly as possible. "Anyone can do that" is a very common sentiment.
Andrew Price Andrew Price @andrewpprice ·
@matteopelleg Artists keep saying this, but try scrolling Instagram or Pinterest. Its devoid of any information on the source, raking in millions of likes and views. It could be a trace, stolen without credit, AI or fully procedural fractal art. If it's pretty, they don't care.

@NewReaganCaucus Parliamentary systems do not have directly elected Premiers. That's normal, and quite common. The CIA was very definitely involved in the 1953 coup, as the US Gov't has acknowledged. And if he hadn't become universally hated by 1979 the revolution would have failed.

@IPhilosophx @LaBrigadita @spectator Property rights as they align with the common good. If you own land, and a development needs to happen for the sake of the country, you need to be compensated and help your people. Its uncomfortable, but if you want development that supports a people, then you must do it.

As humans, we love stories. In reality, we don't always see the truth. It is quite common for our conclusions and beliefs to be shaped by our own biases. We all do this most times; we tend to see our thoughts as facts that fit with what we already believe. Even though we might think we are logical, we are often quick to react. Many of our choices are not based on reason, at least, not most of the time.
