Joe Kent, a true American hero ๐บ๐ธ and veteran, resigned as NCTC Director rather than stand with the mission against Iran. He blamed โmisinformationโ from Israeli officials and U.S. media for supposedly misleading President Trump on an โimminent threat.โ He invoked his wifeโs tragic loss in a past war, refusing to risk more American lives in what he called unnecessary conflict. ๐ @PTSD
His service commands respect. His grief is sacred. But compare him to Fyodor Dostoevsky: the Russian genius graduated military engineering school in 1843, became a sublieutenant, yet resigned his commission in 1844 because his heart had a more humanely compassionate callingโliterature. He felt duty-bound to explore suffering, redemption, and the human spirit through writing, not rigid military routine. Dostoevsky walked away before the fight began, to follow a deeper moral pull.
Kent, however, accepted the highest counterterrorism postโprincipal advisor to the President on threats like Iranโthen stepped off mid-crisis. Thatโs different. Once forces are committed, duty demands you help win it, protect our troops, and honor the flag. JD Vance nailed it: disagree before the call, then execute.

President Trump isnโt swayed by whispers. He ran onโand deliveredโpeace: no new endless wars in his first term, troops home, strength that deterred foes. If he struck Iran, it was necessity: intel showed uranium enriched to 60%+ (near weapons-grade), 180+ missiles fired at Israel in 2024, proxy attacks killing Americans since 1979, and plots targeting the President himself, AND their own people. Sanctions slowed Iran. Chinaโs oil reserves prove they donโt always stop fanatics. When women burn hijabs risking execution and videos show blacked-out cities, ignoring it isnโt virtue. Weโre under siege alreadyโborders porous, foreign influence creeping in, cities with divided loyalties. Iran wields modern tech to oppress while chasing nukes. Denial isnโt wisdom.
Freedom isnโt free. Itโs paid in courage, defended by resolve. No one wants war, except the radical treasonous who seek impeachment at every desperation of pull, But Iranians didnโt choose chains, and Americans didnโt choose hatred. Sometimes breaking the regime frees both. โ๏ธโ๐๏ธ
Trump isnโt recklessโhe ends wars when possible and finishes the ones forced on us. Democrats will howl. Still do We TRULY trust & know the differenceโฆ based on freedom of consciousness?

The modern countries of the Levant / Mesopotamia did not exist under the Ottoman Empire.
What Britain and France inherited in 1918 was not occupied countries but a patchwork of Ottoman provinces and districts.
There was, for example, no Ottoman province called Palestine, it was et of Beirut, the vilayet of Damascus, and the mutasarrฤฑfate of Jerusalem.
The Bedouin Negev was administered with the Bedouin lands east of the Jordan and the Syrian desert as part of the province of Damascus.
Beirut was the administrative centre for the province that included the Galilee, hence many large landowners lived there.
After the war, new borders were imposed through imperial authority.
In many places the mandate boundaries cut Ottoman provinces in half. This later produced odd claims, such as the idea that much land in the Galilee was โowned by Lebanese.โ In reality those owners lived in Beirut because Beirut had been the Ottoman administrative capital until 1918.
From the territories they controlled the French created modern Syria and Lebanon. The British created Iraq, Kuwait, Trans-Jordan and Palestine.
These names and borders were determined in London and Paris. They bore little relation either to the Ottoman provincial map or the inhabitants.
British policy was also strategic. London sought to contain the expanding Saudi state. Trans-Jordan was created as a buffer polity, an amalgam of parts of Arabia and the Levant placed under Hashemite rule.
The arrangement remained visible decades later. In 1948 the army of Trans-Jordan was still called the Arab Legion and was commanded by British officers. It expanded Jordan into Judea and Samaria to fit the British plan.
When the Jews suggested borders for a Jewish state in 1919, they were looking at the blank slate of the collapsed Ottoman Empire, and basing their proposal on the historical, indigenous idea of the Land of Israel.
These borders would have been defensible, as the Jordan Valley eastern highlands were one border, the Mount Lebanon range north of the Litani and the Golan another, and the Sinai to the south-west.
The biggest problem for the British was such a Jewish state would allow Saudis to expand freely into northern Arabia and possibly Mesopotamia and the Mediterranean, using the desert gap between Mesopotamia and a Jewish state, not to mention the growing need for Arab oil.
So they needed two Hashemite buffer states, and the western state (Transjordan) wasn't viable without a greener chunk of the Levant. The British wanted Jordan to absorb lands west of the Jordan as well.
A Jewish state just didn't fit their imperial requirements for a buffer zone and had no upside, except to please the politically largely powerless diaspora Jews.
Hence the entire region was turned into sovereign states except 'Palestine / (Eretz) Israel, by 1948.
