A Horrific Highway Accident Caused by Alleged Negligence of an RTO Officer
A major lorry accident occurred on a highway near Devanahalli, reportedly due to the negligence of an RTO officer. The entire incident was captured on CCTV cameras. Dinesh Kumar D.K., an RTO officer from ing after completing Kolar squad duty when he allegedly attempted to conduct a vehicle check near Devanahalli an area outside his jurisdiction. At a curve on the highway, the officer reportedly stopped a lorry without any prior warning by blocking its path. As seen in the video, the jeep was parked in the middle of the highway, and the officers stepped out. Meanwhile, another lorry approaching at high speed from behind crashed into the stationary vehicle. The force of the collision caused the lorry to lose control and overturn, resulting in a serious accident.Following the incident, instead of responding promptly and assisting those involved, officer Dinesh and the jeep driver, Prasanna, allegedly fled the scene along with their vehicle. This behavior has sparked widespread outrage among citizens, as officials entrusted with enforcing the law are accused of violating highway rules, causing an accident, and escaping responsibility.
