Rezaei zufolge habe das Abkommen seine Bedeutung verloren, da es dem Land keinen Nutzen mehr bringe.
Rezaei schrieb wörtlich:
"Der Atomwaffensperrvertrag hat nicht nur versagt, unser Land vor Angriffen durch Atommächte zu schützen, sondern unsere Nuklearanlagen wurden wiederholt angegriffen, und internationale Dokumente und Abkommen wurden völlig missachtet."
